Oh my...

...now I do tend to get excited about christmas but with the girls this year I really wanted to enjoy it and treasure every moment so am going to journal my december.

So I made the choice of using Teresa Collins for it and I liked the pictures of it I wasn't sure how much I would like it until it arrived this morning.

I ordered a 6x6 paper pad, the banners and the stamp set (not shown in the picture) as my daughter has taken a shine to them and put them in her bag, to go with the advent countdown set. This picture really doesn't do it justice so here is the album etc out.

I have just opened the advent countdown set and this is what you get, I am more then a little excited and cannot wait to get going with it.

Just thought I would share with you all.

WOYWW 172

Can you believe another week has gone by? I really don't know where the time is going before you know it it will be Christmas and I won't have anything made that I have planned...argh!!

Anyway this week I have been working nights at the hospital so its been abit of an odd week but I have managed to start work on some of the presents I have planned for the girls this Christmas and this is what is on my desk.

Struggling again with the scrapping mojo which is why the sewing machine has made its way out from under its cover and been in use.

These are going to be mini cushions to go on their beds or on the window seat I have in mind to build under the window in their bedrooms. Decisions decisions.

Will photo them again once they are done but need another trip to the material shop as run out and cannot finish Poppy's at the moment.

These are Daisy's almost finished I am debating whether to add any ribbon bows or buttons etc onto some of the letters. Am quite pleased with them as I have never made anything like this before. I wander if I can make some for the sofa for Christmas.

I have such a list of things to make and get done for christmas and both the girls birthday's I'm not sure I have time for everything else and normal day to day jobs...wander if hubby will mind if I don't do them...LOL!

Right now off to have a peek at everyone's desks to see what you've all been up too :) I need some stamping inspiration as won some at a crop recently and despite having loads of stamps I haven't done much with them apart from heat embossing.

Thank you for popping by.

September Scrap Map @ CCW

Wow another month has gone by but at least we are having some nice weather, I have really enjoyed being able to play outside and have some fun in the sun with the girls. Hope you have too.

Anyway its the first Saturday of the month and there is another chance to win over at Creative Craft World with a brand new scrap map.

Pop across to the blog here and take part.

Here is a copy of the scrap map:

My LO features some of the elements in the scrap map, this one I looked at the scrap map in the morning and did my LO in the evening without looking at it again. I really try to use the scrap map as a starting point. I have used the gorgeous Echo Park Sunshine mini theme pack available instore. I think you all know I am a huge Echo Park fan by now, they are so easy to use and co-ordinate.

Anyway here is my LO:

This is our first proper summer holiday with Poppy in 2011, we went to Sandbanks and had a lovely time, she hated the sand at first but after a few minutes we couldn't get her off it.

This is a close up of the embellishments at the top of the LO, these are stickers from the sticker sheet included within the collection pack.

Hope to see you all enter into the challenge for a chance to win a kit worth £10 and a months GDT with us over at CCW.

Thank you for taking the time to come and look.

CCW Birthday Blog Hop

As you are aware we are all celebrating Creative Craft World's 6th birthday. I can't believe where the time has gone but I hope you have enjoyed our blog hop over the past week.

My project for our blog hop today is an altered door hanger, now this is the first time I have ever altered anything and it has taken me an age to get it done. I'm not much of a distress or altering type of girl.

To take part in our birthday blog hop and be in with a chance of winning what's in the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow you needed to visit one of our DT blogs each day and leave a comment.

So far you should have hopped from Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo and Violet. If you haven't already done then it's OK to start now. :o)....go on get blog hopping through the rainbow.

Oh and last but not least, I'm offering a bit of surprise blog candy to someone who leaves a comment on this post today. A goody bag of crafty stash :)

I better get on and tell you about my project hadn't I? Well as you can see we have done the rainbow but to finish it all off we have reached the pot of gold, so my colour today is gold.

Here it is hanging on the door:

I know there are no words on it yet but Poppy is deciding which alphabet she would like to have her name in so i haven't been able to add it yet.

The close ups of the skeleton leaves and the roses.

How to make:

1. Choose your chipboard shape background and paint/mist with gold paint.
2. Paint PVA glue over the top and your gold and then paint straight over with white paint.
3. Leave to dry.
4. I then sanded around the edges to bring a little more of the gold through but you don't have to do this if you would prefer not too.
5. Mist your skeleton leaves and leave to dry.
6. Dip your roses into PVA glue and then dip into gold glitter, wait to dry.
7. Glue your skeleton leaves onto the background.
8. Add your adhesive bling but make sure the glue from the leaves is dry before doing this.
7. Place your roses down and glue into position once happy.
8. Decorate with an organza bow.
9. Use another flourish on the bottom right hand corner.
10. Cut the stem off a rose and stick into position.
11. Use some more organza ribbon to create your handle.
12. Add your name in the alphabet of your choice.

Leave all to dry and then add to your door or wall.

Now hop across to the CCW Challenge blog and post a comment to be in with winning the goodies in the pot of gold.

Good Luck

WOYWW 170

Well this is the first time I have joined in with the WOYWW and it will probably be the only time my desk is looking this tidy. Believe me I am a messy crafty and have things all over the place.

I am currently working on a desk in the corner of our bedroom and space is pretty tight as you can see I have my sewing machine on the desk too. I came back from a crop at the weekend hence the tote still looking pretty full in the corner too - normally this is all over the desk and you can't see the top for the ink, bling and bits all over it :)

I am trying to scrap some pictures from the Olympics hence the papers, I have been meaning to do this pictures for ages but have struggled to do a project for the birthday blog hop over at Creative Craft World this week...mine will be posted on Thursday but pop across and check out the blog hop here

Thank you for stopping by
