Day 15 of our Christmas Countdown

Christmas Countdown 2011 - Day 15

40 Sleeps to go

Welcome to day 15 of our 2011 christmas countdown over at Creative Craft World. Today is my turn to show you something festive and I have decided to make some festive gift tags for you. I love the traditional themes at christmas which is why I have made them the way I have but you can alter and change colours quite easily.

Supplies Needed:
  • Big Shot (or other die cutting machine)
  • Spellbinders Nestabilities - Classic Scalloped Circles large & Standard Circles large
  • Sizzix Bigz Die with bonus textured impressions - Holly & Berries
  • Cardstock - Kraft, White, Green & Red (scraps can be used for these if you have any)
  • Length of ribbon
  • Adhesive

Step 1:
Using your die cutting machine and scalloped circle die cut chosen size from kraft cardstock. Place to one side until ready to use.

Step 2:
With the standard circle die cut a circle from the white cardstock. You can choose whichever size you want but I have used the same size die as I did with the scalloped circle.

Step 3:
Add adhesive to the back of the white circle and layer onto the kraft scalloped circle

Step 4:
Using your die cutting machine again cut the holly design from green and red cardstock. Emboss the holly leaves if you want too. I have as think it looks lovely.

Once embossed I have then inked the edges and the embossing with gold ink.

Step 5:
I have attched the holly with foam pads to give it a 3D effect but you can just glue on if you prefer.

Step 6:
Punch hole into desired location of tag and thread your ribbon through.
Step 7:
Write your gift tag and attach to your chosen gift.

Thank you for taking the time to look at my festive project, I do hope you enjoyed it and would love to see if you make any of the projects we show you throughout the month.

Pop back again tomorrow for another new festive project :)
