CCW Christmas Countdown - Day 17

Christmas Countdown 2012 - Day 17

38 Sleeps to go

Welcome to day 17 of our countdown, today its my turn to share another project with you. I have been making some christmas gift tags as I have decided to wrap my presents in brown paper and really decorate with ribbons so wanted my gift tags to match with this theme.

See the page at the top of my blog for instructions should you need any but this is the finished results, I have used Echo Park Very Merry Christmas and Teresa Collins Christmas cottage both available from Creative Craft World.

I will take photo's once they are on the gifts too and share, I need to do my christmas shopping before I can do that. Been so busy making things I haven't done the shopping yet. LOL!

Thank you for popping in and see you tomorrow for another festive project.

CCW Christmas Countdown - Day 6

Christmas Countdown 2012 - Day 6

49 Sleeps to go

Welcome to day 6 of our countdown, today's festive project s a LO I have been working on. It is Poppy seeing Santa last christmas, this was the first time she had met him and at just 2 she was abit scared, this year will be completely different as she is already asking to see him.

I have handstitched all around the layers on this LO, I was inspired by some projects on the Echo Park blog, so using the very merry christmas collection pack I ended up with this.

I would like to enter this in the Scrap365 December sketch challenge.

September Scrap Map @ CCW

Wow another month has gone by but at least we are having some nice weather, I have really enjoyed being able to play outside and have some fun in the sun with the girls. Hope you have too.

Anyway its the first Saturday of the month and there is another chance to win over at Creative Craft World with a brand new scrap map.

Pop across to the blog here and take part.

Here is a copy of the scrap map:

My LO features some of the elements in the scrap map, this one I looked at the scrap map in the morning and did my LO in the evening without looking at it again. I really try to use the scrap map as a starting point. I have used the gorgeous Echo Park Sunshine mini theme pack available instore. I think you all know I am a huge Echo Park fan by now, they are so easy to use and co-ordinate.

Anyway here is my LO:

This is our first proper summer holiday with Poppy in 2011, we went to Sandbanks and had a lovely time, she hated the sand at first but after a few minutes we couldn't get her off it.

This is a close up of the embellishments at the top of the LO, these are stickers from the sticker sheet included within the collection pack.

Hope to see you all enter into the challenge for a chance to win a kit worth £10 and a months GDT with us over at CCW.

Thank you for taking the time to come and look.

May Scrap Map @ CCW

Wow where's the time going, its time for another scrap map over at Creative Craft World, the challenge can be found here on the challenge blog.

I really struggled with the scrap map this month as the creative juices just arent flowing and I can't seem to make anything that I like, even though spent a whole day at a crop still didn't do that well.

Anyway when I got the EP this and that collection pack available from CCW, and saw the camera paper I knew I had some perfect pictures to scrap with, however still not sure I like the LO so might be some tweaking going on with it when I can get things moving abit better mojo wise.

Thank you for looking

Father's Day Card

Well this year I have to make 3 Fathers Day Cards, 1 for my dad and 2 for hubby. So I thought better get started and what better collection then that of EP This & That Charming. I love this collection and it has been so easy to work with. This one is for my dad as he is a fan of planes.

The EP papers and embellishments are available from CCW here

I added the back 2 papers and then stitched down the green one with the sewing machine, all the papers have been inked around the edges which I think works well with this card.

This is a close up of the chipboard shape I used as decoration along with some of the gorgeous brads. The next picture is of the greeting for which I used the alphabets within the collection kit.

Hope you like it and more importantly hope my dad does too.

Thank you for looking,

Lou x

Almost Finished...

My final LO from today isn't quite finished yet but I thought I would share it with you anyway. I would like to put some journalling on it as this is a very special memory from my pregnancy and I want to copy some of the feelings I had at this moment from my diary so that when Poppy reads it when she is older she can understand how amazing it was and how much I loved her even then. 4D Scan: At 32 weeks we had a 4D scan, and this was the most amazing thing I had ever seen, to see the features of our little baby was breath taking. We could see she had a little button nose - so definatly not taking after her Daddy! She sat with her one arm/hand up by her face and the other was just under her chin as though her head was resting on it. You can see in all the pictures. When she was born this was how she slept too, her left hand was always up by her face. I couldn't believe how clear the scan was and am absolutely delighted we had one. Materials Used: Paper & Cardstock - Bazzill Basics - Quicksand Echo Park - Life Is Good Collection Pack Embellishments - Prima E Line Crystals We R Memory Keepers Eyelets & Snaps - Baby Girl Flowers - selection from stash American Crafts Glitter Thickers

20 Week Scan...

...well the crafting has continued and I have managed to finish another LO, this time it is the scan picture from our 20 week scan, this is where we found out our little 'Pip' was infact a 'Poppy'....this secret was very hard to keep from people but we managed it with only a few family members knowing that we were having a girl. It is so amazing seeing this little person on scan which is growing inside you. Anyway this is the LO I have created for this: Being a midwife I am normally on the other side of things and have experienced scans from watching on screen at someone else's but the love and emotion I felt when I saw my little baby was incredible and scrapping these pictures just brings back so many memories and the occasional tear. I find it sad I'm not pregnant anymore but I love having Poppy. Materials Used: Paper & Cardstock- Bazzill Basics - Sea Salt Echo Park A Walk In the Park - Sunshine Embellishments - Prima E Line Crystals, We R Memory Keepers - Eyelets & Snaps - Baby Girl Flowers - Mix from own stash coloured with promarkers Wording - Doodlebug Loopy Love
